Best Practices
There are a couple of steps that will make KaHoot! even better in your classroom. First, place the standard at the end of each question. When viewing the data, this will allow you to quickly see the standard in the same column as the student responses. Next, change your response time to the full 120 seconds. This will give the students more time to process the information without losing so many points. You can also turn the time off so students do not go into a hurry up mode, which can shift students thinking from getting the answer right to a competitive, fast, frenzy mode. In the end, the points are fun and the kids love it. Just make sure you are truly getting a measurement of mastery and not processing speeds.
